The James Gettys Hotel offers twelve tastefully appointed suites, each with a king, queen or double bed, private bath, sitting room, and kitchenette. Cable television and free wifi are included in the suite, as is our complimentary continental breakfast served in room. Free onsite parking is also available.
The suite names represent significant businesses that existed within or near this building in the last 200 years of its existence.

Keystone Hotel Suite Est. 1867
Located on the fourth (top) floor, features English country style decor with full size brass bed, and cozy sitting area. $145.00

Sign of the Spread Eagle Suite Est. 1809 (Photos coming soon...)
This quaint third floor suite is decorated with delicate blues and plaids, with full size brass bed. This is the perfect suite for one or the budget conscious couple. $145.00

City Hotel Suite Est. 1888
Overlooking Chambersburg Street & downtown, this third floor suite has a queen size bed and is decorated in ivy, creating a bright atmosphere. Shower only. $165.00

Union Hotel Suite Est. 1845
This second floor suite has a modern feel with cool comfortable colors, high ceilings, and a queen size wrought iron bed. $165.00

Zeigler Holtzworth Livery Suite Est. 1874
Located on the back of the third floor, decorated with lilacs and sage greens, this suite has a bright pleasant atmosphere. With a queen size wrought iron bed in the bedroom and daybed with trundle in the sitting room, this is the perfect space for a family of four. $195.00

Blue Parrot Tearoom Suite Est. 1920
This suite offers a great rooftop view of the Gettysburg College and is decorated in bright yellows and blues, making it sunny and warm. There is a queen size wrought iron bed in the bedroom and cozy sitting area.. $195.00

Sign of the Buck Suite Est. 1804
This large third floor suite is decorated with Victorian flair and reproduction turn of the century magnolia wallpaper, with an elaborate white iron queen size bed. The sitting area has overstuffed furniture for a relaxing afternoon or a night in. $195.00

Indian King Inn Suite Est. 1816
This ample second floor suite has high ceilings, rich comfortable sofa, and reading chair with a rustic outdoor feel. The bedroom has a rich queen size Jenny Lind spool bed. $195.00

Sign of the Golden Cross Keys Suite Est. 1810
Located on the fourth floor, this roomy suite features airy hues of green and amaretto with overstuffed furniture. The bedroom has a high queen size pine poster bed and a country quilt. $195.00

Lord Nelson's Suite Est. 1990
Located on the second floor, toward the back of the hotel, this spacious suite is furnished in deep reds and forest greens with easy furnishings and a rustic wicker queen size bed. $195.00

John Troxell, Sr. Suite 1st owner of this property, 1787
Overlooking Chambersburg Street, this elegantly appointed second floor suite features high ceilings with rich mouldings, deep colors, colonial queen size pencil poster bed and historic corner cupboard. $195.⁰⁰

The Majestic Suite Located on the back of the second floor and named for the Majestic Theatre. This very spacious suite with high ceilings and tall windows features rich green colors and cherry woods. The comfortable living room with overstuffed furniture, wet bar and TV is just the place to relax at the end of the day. The bedroom features a king size Cherry panel bed, fireplace, and relaxing sitting area. The very spacious bath includes private water closet, two person shower, and jetted spa tub. $250.00

Hotel Policies

All rates are based on double occupancy plus 9% taxes.
* $20.⁰⁰ per day for additional guest in room over the age of 11.
* Corporate and weekly rates available upon request.

No charge for children under 12 when sharing room with parents. Maximum four persons per suite, depending on choice of suite.

Guarantees may be made with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.

Cancellations must be received by 12:00 noon day before arrival. Special Event Weekends may have a different cancellation policy. Guaranteed reservations not cancelled or used will be charged as no shows.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm or by special arrangement. Check-out time is 11:00 am.

The James Gettys Hotel is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is limited to outside areas only.

Sorry, no pets; we will be glad to make arrangements at our local veterinary hospital.
