This suite is named after Lord Nelson's
Gallery which opened in 1990 on the first floor of this hotel.
The shop was named after the owner's black lab, Lord Nelson.
Nelson was the chief shopkeeper and a friend to all of his
customers. He could always be found greeting patrons with
perked up ears and a wagging tail. During the hotel renovations,
from October 1995 through August 1996, Nelson was always kept
abreast of all decisions and plans. He was even the first
to inspect the elevator for the safety of our guests.
This suite is dedicated to Lord Nelson. If we had not opened
the store, we would never have fallen in love with this building.
By saving a little piece of history, we will now be able to
create more history with our guests. As for Nelson, let's
just say, he was the inspiration for a store and he deserved
to have a suite named after him too.
